Case # 1: I am owed, for one child, over $53,000 in arrearage..starting at $150 a month for one child. I never tried to get support for the other. Since 1985, the AG's office of Texas has totally messed up my case. I finallly started receiving support last year, one year before my daughter turned 18. I received $83.00 (current and arrearage) a week, more or less, for one year. My ex lives in Atlanta, GA and through our AG's office and their collection agency, we went to court this past Monday, Nov 30. The "Judge" Wofford ordered my ex to pay $60.00 a month and those idiots at Maximus sat on their thumbs. C'est le vie...no skin off their noses. After all this time, I am so disheartened. My files have been ignored, my liens have gone unheeded, I have been beaten and now dragged down to the point that I want to die. That's it. It amazes me that someone like him has such a charmed life and mine is crap.

Case # 2: Thanks for your e-mail and updated info. I am currently in the process of filing for a lump sum payment of the arrears owed to my children in Hudson County, Jersey City, NJ. I don't know what my chances are but I'm hoping that it will go in the children's favor since this matter has come up before the same judge 2 other times re: arrears. In fact, at thelast hearing my ex went so far as to lie and say he was working and when the probation dept received the paperwork back, they were advised he was not employed there.

Case # 3: Hi there... I am so glad I found your site. I am one of the god knows how many single moms, with a ex who has not paid court ordered child support. I get so tired and overwhelmed working and working...but not having enough time for my kids because I have to make ends meet. My ex stopped paying this past Sept (this is after he caught up, after a 3 month lag, and before that, it was 4 months lag). Now, he owes me 3,000, which I suppose is not a huge amount. But, it is for my kids ... some months I don't even know how we will make it. I rob peter and paul..and still get no where.

I would wish, that there would be something that would make these dads move. My ex's excuse now, is that he is out of a job...7 weeks to be exact, and no real attempt to find a job. I guess he is watching soaps on tv.
